Fennel Salt

New to me: Fennel salt. This surprise was tucked into my Full Circle organic box delivery Wednesday, and was quickly put to use. The box also contained red potatoes. Dice the potatoes, toss with a little olive oil and sprinkle with fennel salt. Bake at 375 for about 45-50 minutes, with a couple of stirs along the way. 

Let me tell you that these potatoes were extra sweet, which added a delicious dimension to the dish. I had planned to take a photo of all the goodies in the box this week, but the kiddo got there before me and ate all the carrots, pears and satsumas.

A "Seed" Box Experience

Our family's first Full Circle organic box delivery. This is the "seed" box, a small delivery for my small family - larger selections are available and totally customizable. The first thing that "disappeared?" The carrots. I have plans for the cute butternut squash this week (soup!). Yukon gold potatoes were mixed in with russets for Thanksgiving mashed potatoes. The pomegranate will be a new taste experience for my daughter this week. All the fruits and veggies arrived in tip-top shape.

What a blast of color in my organic delivery yesterday. The broccoletti on the right is something new to me. I think I'll saute it - unless you have a better suggestion?

This Week's Organic Box Goodies

A peek inside our organic Brown Box delivery last night. There will be salad for dinner tonight, along with lightly cooked cauliflower. And in the upper right hand corner, I believe that's a purple shallot. What shall I do with that?

Fresh Organic Veggies

Some of the goodies in my organic box delivery this week. I'll spiff up a Jamaican jerk chicken salad with some of this tonight, along with a side of steamed beets.

Organic Box Delivery - No Mysteries this Week!

Well, no mystery potato-looking fruits/veggies this week in my organic box delivery. I see a red bell pepper, cucumber, lettuce and tomato that I'm going to use tomorrow for a southwestern chicken salad for dinner. I guarantee my daughter will eat all the strawberries and most of the sugar snap peas tomorrow. Apples, red potatoes and zucchini are also included this week.
