Suddenly Spring? Time for an Iced Latte

As if I need an excuse to brew one of these. Recipe: pull two shots of espresso (I count 2 ounces as one shot). Stir in caramel sauce to taste. Pour over crushed ice and top with cold milk.

Casino Coffee

Irish cream liqueur and coffee topped with whipped cream. A nice warm up during winter weather. Cheers! This also reminds me that the latest issue of Saveur magazine has a note about salted coffee. I have questions. Has anyone tried this? Is it available in Boise? Can I make my own?

His and Hers Coffee

Good morning! The coffee is ready...I like mine to be about the same color as my hair, so I'll take the cup on the left :) Our favorite brew is White Cloud breakfast blend.

Coffee Grinder Static Conquered

I love my burr coffee grinder, but hate the static which causes the coffee grounds, chaff and dust to literally jump to any available surface in the kitchen, as well as the floor. I just flicked a couple of drops of water into the hopper with the beans. I know after doing a lot of research on coffee grinder static that some people advise against this method, but it magically works.

Paper Cup Coffee - Drip, or Instant?

Home-brewed drip coffee this morning in a paper cup. It was a big news weekend in the coffee world with Starbucks giving out free samples of their new VIA instant coffee, along with a coupon for a free drip coffee. Did you try it? It's still on my to-do list. Hopefully, I can try it out, in a paper cup, today.

Colder Weather = Hot Lattes

Colder weather is moving in this week, so time again for hot, homemade lattes - instead of iced. I like a tiny bit of caramel sauce in my homemade version, and extra foam. I use a Starbucks Barista brand machine we purchased 8 years ago, and it still pulls beautiful shots with plenty of crema.

Treat From My Friend

Wow, I'm sooo lucky. My friend brought this treat to me (she lives in the house behind ours). The cookies were warm, the coffee was a blessing (and it said so on the cup!), and the fall adornments darling. And my daughter was very happy to see acorns when she got home.
