Molten Lava Cake
Picture perfect. My hubby made this and was just like what's served up in restaurants. Incredibly chocolate-ly.

Taste Test: Bacon Chocolate
Bacon and chocolate, chocolate and bacon. I've tasted a bacon maple bar before and it was good. Taste test results on this? It was overly salty and I really couldn't taste any bacon flavor. I would think someone could produce something better, because I like a sweet/salty combo. Quick, someone send me some Telluride truffles to restore my taste buds. Thursday, February 11, 2010
Taste Test: Telluride Truffles

Look at this perfect pyramid of chocolate truffle. This is a Telluride Truffle from Colorado. My friend sent them to me for Valentine's Day. The above truffle is called "Black Diamond." Tequila in dark chocolate with a touch of salt. All I can say is....more please! These pillows of chocolate love are smooth and not overly sweet.

Chocolate Fountains Make Me Uncomfortable
For the finish at our neighborhood dinner, a chocolate fountain dessert table. At this same neighborhood dinner four years ago, my then-four year old stuck her fingers in a similar chocolate fountain display. So....now that she's eight, I still didn't trust her. Although she didn't intentionally put her fingers in the fountain, she managed to run her hand under the stream of chocolate while coating the angel food cake. Then, she licked the skewer and ran it back under the chocolate. A fancy double-dip. Please forgive us neighbors!!!
