Blueberry scones from a packaged mix I found at World Market. They tasted good, but scones remind me of the wonderfulness of clotted cream. And I can't get real clotted cream around here. The jarred kind just isn't the same as the fresh, sweet, melt-in-your-mouth taste I remember from England.
This is my husband's favorite pizza of all: stromboli at Flying Pie. It's on a sourdough crust.
Part of the egg dye process in recent days. I have 3 dozen boiled eggs ready for recipes. I can only eat so much egg salad. Help.
Savory snacks to balance out all the sugar today.
This is some husband cookery - a kale recipe. I like kale, but didn't get to taste this one because my stomach was having issues when he served this. What's your favorite kale recipe?
I fried up two pounds of cod for a fish and chips treat over the weekend. Cut the fish into equal-sized pieces and pat dry with paper towels. The batter secret: use equal parts flour and baking powder. I also add a little powdered sugar, sea salt, white pepper, paprika, and granulated garlic. Stir in dark beer and water until a sticky batter forms. Dip and fry.
Dwayne baked this pie last weekend, using a Bobby Flay recipe. He layered the crust because the top piece didn't roll out as nicely as the bottom piece. Didn't matter, it tasted wonderful.
Just saying all those words makes my mouth water. I really liked this dinner dish at the Cottonwood Grille last weekend.
I don't think I've ever had an egg salad sandwich I didn't like. My only request is for the bread to the toasted.
