I ordered this appetizer as dinner last night at the Cheesecake Factory. Sweet corn tamale cakes. Delish and too rich to eat more than two. Sweet, salty, tangy, spicy and cool all at once.
You got to stop going to chains, most of the food you're cooking at home looks better than the food you're going out to eat
Here are my suggestions, and I'm sorry because I know they weren't requested.
Try the Red Feather for brunch on Sunday if you want good breakfast in Boise, dont get me started on Goldies, yuck.
Tablerock and Bitter creak easily win the award for best pub food with piper pub in a close 2 place.
Guido's is the best pizza I've found in Boise.
Sadly after 2 year's I've yet to have decent mexican food, though el giro giyo comes close but no cigar....
I also haven't had any good Italian in Boise, which saddens me to my very core.
Sorry about my rambling but I thought these might spur you on to find a good Mexican or Italian place you would then generously share with my wife and I. Also, if you have any suggestions about a restaurant that can rival those I've listed in the categories above then tell me and I'll give it a try!
Love the blog's, I follow the daily photo as well....
Hi Snafu918 - thank you for the food tips. I agree with you on Tablerock and Bitter Creek! I haven't been to the Piper Pub in years, though. And on the Mexican food front: I have not found any place I can recommend in Boise. I went to a Mexican restaurant on Bainbridge Island, WA, last weekend that I can recommend, though - San Carlos.
