BLT Salad Sandwich

On the dinner menu: BLT salad sandwiches. This BLT salad is good on its own, too. Bake thick-sliced bacon, yes, bake it! Regular readers know that you NEVER fry bacon, you bake it at 325 degrees. No turning. No spattering. The dressing is mayonnaise and red wine vinegar whisked together. Chop tomatoes, Romaine and cooked bacon and toss with the dress. Load onto a fresh-baked baguette.

  3. This looks sooooo good. I like the part about the 'thick bacon!" I never thought of chopping everything up to make a BLT. Good idea.
